Well, it's officially official. I have the contract, with my signature and WiDo's signature, in my hand.
Wow. :::gulp::: I'm really in this now. It feels so completely surreal. Like I'm just playing along, we're hypothesizing about publishing my book. I feel like, okay, let's see how far this charade goes. I cannot seem to wrap my mind around the fact that is real!
I need to go buy a frame and put this on the wall. And they approved my pen name. Tamara Hart Heiner.

Go buy that frame, girl!! It really is real!
hey Sumida! (that means 'you disappeared'). I was wondering where you were!
Yeah! I've been working on my manuscript like mad!! WiDo's early criticisms gave me a LOT to work on. And I've made some awesome changes!! But I'm still waiting to be assigned an editor. Can't wait! Poor sap will see the truckload of changes I think are needed.
That was funny Mary.
I was hit harder with that hypnotizing feeling when I got the contract in hand too Tamara, and then late last decided to look back at WiDo's site and saw they had added an OUR TITLES section. I clicked on it-and my book was there ready for pre-order on Amazon-very surreal and cool. Working hard at writing (like we do) is paying off.
I know, David, so exciting. And Kristine's comment on her blog that next year my title would be up there--yikes!!! I can't even imagine it!
I've also started working on the expected changes. Allie must be marking my manuscript up like crazy! No replies from her yet. But I already kind of know what they want me to do, so I've been outlining/timelining. I'm excited. The book's taking on a more of a "Mary Higgins Clark" feel to it.
Mary, I simply cannot wait to know who your editor is going to be!
Hey there,
Pop me an e-mail, okay? Tristi@tristipinkston.com
Ah! I know what you mean. I was thinking about it this morning, and it seemed so crazy to me, and it's not even me who is getting published! I'm so happy for you girl!
Tamara! *rough shake* Tamara! Wake up!
hahahahahahahahaha!
I'm so excited for you!!!
Tamara, my husband wants to know if you know Benjamin and Taryn Heiner. They just moved to Manassas, Virginia.
oh, close, but no. I know a Benjamin Heiner, but he lives in Montana.
David, and I think you're about to get your cover image on that title page too, aren't you? Tamara, your day will come and it will be so fast...my novel is hot off the press and my ten copies are sitting here right now sparkling at me. And stressing me out.
I'm glad you got the pen name you wanted. Sounds like things are really rolling! I'm so happy for you!
