Well, it's a human baby!
All right, all right. We got a good look at the sweet little face, the kicking legs, the waving hand, and the buttocks. As well as the thick umbilical cord the baby straddled between the legs.
Silly baby!!!
The nurse tried and tried to get a clear view. She thinks it's a girl...but she's not sure. But she thinks so. She really does.
Good enough for us!
We're quite excited to announce that we're having a GIRL!*
*Until further notice.
Any stories about last-minute gender changes from you guys?

Congratulations! Either way, you're having a baby!!!
Congrats! I KNEW before the ultrisound what both my kids were going to be. That's funny, both of my kids were none too shy about showing off their goods! Especially my son! *sigh* And now, it's hard to keep clothes on that boy!
LOL!
My sister went for her ultra suond two weeks ago and they didn't want to know what it was. The baby comlied by keeping its legs crossed the entire time!
YAAY! a little girl!!!
my little girl was easy to spot. the little hoochie kept her legs open the whole time!
Yes Ellie! Definitely a baby! So cute. and ultrasounds help to make it even more real!
Ha, Harley! my boys don't like clothes either! WE feel like this one is a girl. But we've had so many *other* opinions that we doubt oursevles!
Megan--so funny how sometimes they do that!
Uh-oh, LMJ! Keep your eye on her!
We didn't have any last minute changes because with my first 2 kids the doctor said if he didn't know better he would think the babies were mooning us-there was never any doubt about what was hanging between their legs.
do they still moon you, David?
My first daughter did the same thing. I had two ultrasounds, and she hid herself both times. I kept buying yellow baby clothes so it could fit either a boy or a girl.
Congrats! Yay!!
They moon my wife more than me.
YAY! Congrats Tamara!!
Annie--well, my family/church friends are all dying to throw me a baby shower for girl stuff! I'll just have to hold on to the receipts!
Thanks, Jannie!!! We're excited!
David--well, I guess that's okay. Moms think baby bums are sweet. :)
Thanks, Vicky!
Congratulations. :)
I myself am partial to baby girls, since I've had FOUR, but a big congratulations!! Even if your baby turns out to be a boy ; )
WOO HOO! That is so exciting! I only got one girl, so I spoil her rotten! I didn't even realize you were expecting. Congrats! So happy for you! Enjoy!
Congrats! I'm glad you are definitely having a human baby. And I'm happy you're reasonably likely to have your girl.
awwww that's lovely. It's fun finding out what you're having. :o)
So exciting! Congrats :)
Yay! I truly hope it's a girl!! The doctors told my sister she was having a girl and then decided it was a boy a month before he was born. Oops! She'd bought tons of girl stuff.
Thanks, Sarahjayne, Nikki, and Jemi!
Four, Kim??? I think a lot of any number might make your family life slightly eschewed!
Melissa--well, I think it can't be helped! If you have only one girl!
Dominique--LOL. Yes, at least we know the baby is human! No vampyrs or anything unusual.
Mary--me too! I want a little girl so badly! But a little boy is fine.
Yay for girls! Congratulations! :)
Congratulations, that is, if you wanted a girl. LOL
My ex-wife found out we were having a girl, and since she wanted a boy, she cried. Sad, not-so-happy-tears LOL. BUT, after thinking more about it, she became very glad we had a girl.
that stubborn lil pink bundle! she's just being modest....
seriously! congrats and big hugs from me to you and man slaps from Eric to Mark! glad you are getting your girl!
Oh, my, how fun. It's so great to see all the parts, well, almost!! I had twins at the end, and they were stacked on top of each other. I didn't really need to know, but I suspected they were two boys!
oh yippee yippee yipppeee!!! lucky you! watch out if you have a shopping habit b/c at least for me - having e has been hard on the wallet!
Awww! Congrats! I never found out till my kids were born. It was sooooo hard not knowing but it was fun. How fun, a girl.:)
CONGRATS! Here's hoping 'human baby' stays a girl for you! (Did you go out and buy anything pink?)
It would be an intriguing story had the ultrasound determined it was of non-human species. ;o)
I'm here via my sweet friend SarahJayne's blog.
I think I'll stick around.

Hi Lola! Thanks for coming over! Yeah, that would've been some story to tell if the baby hadn't been human!!! thank heavens that's not the case.
Christine--we didn't find out with our first b/c we knew we'd be happy with whatever. But with our second and third, I was going nuts wanting to know if we were getting our girl. If this really is our girl, we probably won't find out with any other children. Ah, babies!
SB--I do love to shop. But luckily, I also love garage sales. :)
Mary, how fun! twins! You're a better woman than me.
Elisa--modest? that must be something girls are. my boys don't know the meaning of the word.
Voidwalker--LOL! I prepped myself in case it was a boy!
Thanks, Talli!

(sorry---too oldfashioned to check for sex)
One girl I know found out she was having a girl at the ultrasound. It was Friday the 13th when she went into labor at her apartment. She called her midwife to tell her she was in labor and the midwife said she was on her way. (The girl was planning a home birth.) Before the midwife arrived the baby was born on the floor in the bathroom with only the help of her husband. Surprise! Its a boy! When I talked to her two weeks later they still hadn't picked a name and the baby boy was wearing pink. Crazy!
oh my word, Dianna, that's hilarious!!! We're fully prepared for this little one to come out a boy, thank goodness. Though I would like to stock up on little girl clothes, at least I have boy clothes as a back up!
