Re: On Submission

I submitted the sequel to Perilous last week.

Nothing says my publisher has to contract the sequel. I sure hope they do, because Perilous doesn't really wrap up...and it would be a major bummer not to have the sequel published, I think.

So, wish me luck! And I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

cool. Good luck. Excited to read the sequel. The first book was so suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Good luck, lady! In some ways, being on submission is the worst!

I wish you luck. I'm looking forward to read my copy!

Why wouldn't the want to? Do you think it would be because of sales or because they don't like something about the 2nd book or other? I'm sure you're just having anxiety, but it's fine.

Good luck with that!

I guess if they don't want it, you can always shop it to another pubisher.

I hope somebody picks up your sequel because as it is I'm left hanging and very interested to see where this story goes. In fact, as I reached the end of this I could see more than one follow up book. Det. Carl Hamilton could become the hero of an ongoing series.
On Tuesday 2/22 I'll be doing my review of Perilous.

Yay! Praying that what God has in mind for you will come to pass. I mean, I guess it will no matter what, but I hope you're ready for the great things He has in store!

Wow. Big deal.
Must feel good to be at that point!

@Theresa--yes, pretty much. If either the first one isn't doing so well, or they don't like what I wrote in the second. Crossing fingers!

@Arlee--hmm. very intriguing thought! There's a lot of possibilities here!

Crossing fingers, eyes and toes for you :)

Crossing fingers for you. You've got a good story there. I don't see why they wouldn't pick up the second.

Good luck! I hope they do, because I HAVE to know what happens!

And I agree about the detective having his own series. He's a great character, and putting that bit about the pickles in there was a stroke of genius!

I am so glad everyone is as excited about the sequel as I am!
