Plump it Up

'Tis the season for getting fat, and resistance is futile.

After Thanksgiving and the day of stuffing myself crazy, I told myself that I'd be really good and not eat junk on Friday. But then I woke up to pies and potatoes and gravy and cheese. So then I told myself that I needed to eat it and get it out of the house.

I guess the same applies to the candy bowls full of Hershey kisses and mint M&Ms.

The only solution, then, is to get to the gym more.

Which is a joke, because actually I'm so swamped right now that I've been thinking about going less. Just until January, anyway.

Which means I'm just going to get fat. And then I'll make a New Year's Resolution to lose the weight. Just like the rest of America.

Happy Feasting!

Totally. I figure why even bother until January. Why torture myself with vain promises of weight loss when I know it's never going to happen until after the holidays.

Drink lots of water and eat lots of raw celery. That should tie me over until life settles down!

Noooo! Do not become one of those thinspo obsessive holiday haters. You know, the kind that can't eat a piece of really good cheesecake without first telling everyone in the room why they shouldn't be eating it. Or the girl who buys fat free egg nog (cuz really...what's the point?) and skips the ice cream for her pie to save calories. It's not right, man.
Also, You are not going to get fat. You just aren't. If you do put on a few pounds or soften up over the next couple months, it will totally be worth it. And what about the cheesecake? How will the cheesecake feel? Imagine it, all sad and alone, rejected and untouched, drizzled with chocolate and no one to appreciate it's goodness. Do it for the cheesecake, Tamara. ;)

lol, I love Meg's conscientious concerns for the cheesecake!

Today Caroline ACTUALLY took a bottle of FORMULA!!!! Hooray! why is that exciting? Because if this trend continues, I might actually be able to lose more than .5 lbs a week (I can't lose more than that or my milk supply is affected). So now I'm crossing my fingers because I would love love LOVE to shed 10 lbs BEFORE Christmas... and then I can eat whatever I want knowing that I can lose it again immediately after!

Like you said...resistance is futile! Better to go with the flow, knowing that the new year will offer motivation to shed those temporary pounds. :)

What would we have to fret/blog about during the holidays, if it weren't getting fat? :P If you're going to eat it anyway, eat and be merry!
